Encore 3 (percussion sextet - from Between Zero and One)

One of the several encores from the concert-length show "Between Zero and One" created in collaboration with New Zealand's Strike Percussion.

As the show became more and more established through more concerts, the audiences were asking for an increasing number of Encores. This was the third and final encore based on two of the show's pieces taking the grooves from "Africa" and adding them to the drums of "Superluminal" at a much higher tempo. There's a midi demo in the SoundCloud playlist above. The Kontakt player's "West Africa" library provided the core groove content for this piece. I played around with the layered loops within the lbrary to create parts that were interesting but easy to learn quickly. Some pages from the parts are in the image gallery.
