Gonzalo Otero Fernández performs Atalanta in A Coruña, Spain

Percussionist Gonzalo Otero Fernández performs the solo version of Atalanta (2020) at the Conservatorio Superior de A Coruña in Spain.

Born in Bermés (Lalín), he began his percussion studies at the Professional Conservatory of Lalín, where he obtained his Elementary and Professional degree. During this time he studied with teachers José Manuel Taboada, Pepe Varela and Germán Agulló. In 2017 he began the superior degree of Percussion at the Han-zehogschool of Groningen (The Netherlands), graduating in 2021. He studies at that institution with professors Mihaly Kaszas, Tatiana Koleva and Joeke Hoekstra. He has been a member of the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival Orchestra, season 2022. He has collaborated with orchestras such as Nationaal Symfonisch Kameror- kest, Kammerorkest van het Noorden, Ruse Festival Orchestra and Noord Nederlands Orkest (NNO), with which he is currently collaborating.
